Installing the LEDw@re CURVED 48V Rail System – Step-by-Step Experience & Tips

I’ve recently completed a few installations of the LEDw@re CURVED 48V rail system, and I thought it might be helpful to share some insights for anyone considering this modular lighting setup.

If you haven’t seen it yet, the CURVED series is a low-voltage (48V DC) magnetic rail lighting system that allows you to create fluid, curved lines of light with full Zigbee or Bluetooth smart control. It’s flexible, safe, and highly design-oriented — perfect for architects, installers, and smart-home enthusiasts.

⚙️ Installation Overview

  1. Planning the LayoutThe key to a clean install is pre-planning the curvature and connection points. The system allows both straight and curved rails, so mapping out your radii and lighting zones before mounting saves a lot of time later.

  2. Mounting the RailsEach rail uses screw-mounted brackets (Ø35 × H73.5 mm).

    • Use the standard Track Bracket (2C3GDT0501) for mechanical mounting.

    • Use the Power Bracket (2C3GDT0502) to bring in your 48V feed — it comes prewired for easy connection.Align each segment carefully to maintain a consistent bend or linear flow.

  3. Connecting the Power SupplyThe system runs on DC48V, typically powered by a 200W LEDw@re driver (2C1QD0315-200W).

    • Input: AC 220–240V

    • Output: 48V / 4.2AIt’s compact and quiet, perfect for concealed mounting in ceiling voids or cabinets.

  4. Attaching the FixturesHere’s the fun part — each module connects magnetically, no tools required. You can mix and match:

    • MITO BEAM (12W) for linear task lighting

    • OGI ZOOM (10W) for adjustable spot lighting

    • KUMO PENDANT (8W) for soft ambient light

    • RAYDEN (12W) for broad beam illuminationEverything locks in place magnetically and draws power directly from the track.

  5. Smart Control & SetupEach luminaire uses Zigbee or Bluetooth control, so you can integrate it with Philips Hue, Tuya, Alexa, or other smart home platforms.Group lights by room, adjust color temperature (2700K–5700K), or dim smoothly from your phone.

🧰 Pro Tips

  • For perfect alignment on curved sections, install from the center outward.

  • Avoid mixing driver brands — LEDw@re supplies perfectly matched 48V DC power units.

  • Keep magnetic joints clean during installation; even a small dust particle can disrupt conductivity.

💬 Why I Love This System

The flexibility is incredible. You can design light like a shape — looping, bending, and layering across ceilings or walls.Unlike rigid track systems, this one feels almost architectural — part of the space, not just lighting in it.

If you’re experimenting with smart LED design or high-end interiors, this system bridges both worlds: design freedom and technical precision.
